Listen I never ever want

Listen I never ever want to see your flyer on my door ever again! #1 I do not appreciate solicitation of any kind but when I was floored by what I saw on my door I took time to research what you were trying to say because I was so striken by it! I do NOT agree with what you are saying at all and I think you are crazy, there has to be something wrong with you. I appreciate anyone’s opinion of religion because as a member of the media I am well aware of the freedom of speech but when you invade my space by putting that shit on my door illegally, especially something so crazy as the flying spaghetti monster, I get very short- tempered with people like you! If I see something like this on my door ever again I will take action against you personally. I do feel like everyone is allowed to have an opinion and I did research your beliefs and this is me saying I do not agree with them so please do not try to solicit in my area again. Thank You, Jamie, Athens GA

Hi, Bobby– Read an interesting

Hi, Bobby–

Read an interesting article about FSM in today’s issue of the LEXINGTON HERALD-LEADER in its Faith/Values section. My first reaction was: Aren’t you the clever one. Went out and created yet another “religion”. How cute. Just what the world really needs.

Even though you may have done it with tongue in cheek, it’s obvious from some of the e-mails on your website that some people appear to be taking it more seriously. My concern about this is what motivated the e-mail you’e reading.

Maybe God does have a sense of humor (it’s certainly a possibility) and is getting a good laugh as a result of your efforts. On the other hand, he may be weeping because the atheists, agnostics, and other non-believers of the world are jumping on your new bandwagon and using it as further justification for not seeking the truth and for continuing to believe only in the theory of evolution.

The bottom line, Bobby, is that what you have started may not be helping people from an eternal perspective, and you may just be giving them a good laugh at God’s expense (and, at your profit).

Don’t know where you’re coming from spiritually, but if there is a God (as multiplied millions throughout the centuries–including myself–believe), then he just might be upset at all those you are helping to lead astray (whether intended or not) with FSM–especially the young and impressionable.

There is scripture to back this up, but if you have no belief in the Bible as God’s Word, then it would be meaningless to you and I won’t bore you with it. If I’m wrong in this assumption, and you have any regard for the Bible, let me know and I’ll get back to you.

Unlike some of those who are my misguided “brothers” under the great umbrella of all that is and passes for Christianity, I won’t sign off by saying “I’ll pray for you” in a mean-spirited way. I’m really not a huge practicer of prayer and at my age (67) would probably forget to do so anyway.

Get back to me, if you’re interested and have a couple minutes to spare.

A fellow-seeker of truth,

–Chuck

Mr. Henderson, I think that

Mr. Henderson, I think that it is completely unacceptable that you make such a mockery of God, our Creator. People like you just can’t realize that nothing would even exist on Earth if it weren’t for God. In addition, I think that it is a huge mistake to always regard science as authoritative fact because science itself is an endeavor which has been created by humans, and we are far from perfect in our own regard. The only explanation for the existence of such an orderly, complex universe is that almighty God created it (the teleological argument). The fact that the vast majority of people in this world personally attest to God’s presence in their life cannot be overlooked. I hope that you will rethink your absurdly abrasive approach to such a weighty issue.

Sincerely, J.H.C.

Your A Fag, how dare

Your A Fag,

how dare you exploit the ignorance of the confused masses that are struggling to find their religious beliefs. Have you no sense you “scoundrel”. Full of rage I am. How can you sleep at night knowing your blasphemous lips have preached utter debauchery. May you rot in the fiery bowels of the poor misguided follower who bestows his faith in you.

your whole Flying spaghetti monster is as believable as the boogie man or other stupid creatures. this religon seems to be just based on a childs creative mind. This makes me think all younger generations now are full with idiots like you. No to believe that a spaghetti controls my life is crazy and stupid. And I have a strong feeling that your joking and don’t tell me your not cause I read it twice it seems all most too stupid please go read the bible or jump off the nearest cliff cause no one has use for you that’s why your making stupid religons In a world where so much is already so confusing, you would go so far as to make fun of my God? A creator is not a thing, it cannot be materialized. A spiritual, sacred image knowing all and seeing all, said it, and it was. To materialize a god is to make a god of one’s own desire, giving it it;s traits in accordance to what you want it to be. If I were to take this entire FSM thing literally, I would be seeing a satirical violation of the First commandment, as well as a connection between a divine Creator of heaven and Earth and an Italian dish. Even if this FSM is all just a simple joke and a satirical message to all those who believe in intellegent design, to start a church for people to worship a manmade god is damned. The starter of such a church will be the one answering to God for the number of lost souls given to the FSM cause. I realize that an email from a Christian will do nothing to stop you from sending more of Earth’s population to Hell, but i can only hope that some of your followers will read this email (if you post it) and repent from worshipping an idol.
