Nuclear Pasta in neutron stars

Published September 16th, 2018 by Bobby Henderson

Scientists in Portugal have found spaghetti-like structures in neutron stars, showing more evidence of His Noodly Appendage at work:

About a kilometer below the surface of a neutron star, atomic nuclei are squeezed together so close that they merge into clumps of nuclear matter, a dense mixture of neutrons and protons. These as-yet theoretical clumps are thought to be shaped like blobs, tubes or sheets, and are named after their noodle look-alikes, including gnocchi, spaghetti and lasagna. Even deeper in the neutron star, the nuclear matter fully takes over. The burnt-out star’s entire core is nuclear matter, like one giant atomic nucleus.

Nuclear pasta is incredibly dense, about 100 trillion times the density of water.

The BBC has endorsed the Pastafarian universe-origin theory

Published November 2nd, 2015 by Bobby Henderson

bigbang1

The BBC has endorsed (albeit subtly) our theory of the origins of the universe (that the Flying Spaghetti Monster created everything) in this animated video. The video is part of The History of Ideas, on the topic of The Big Bang and the origins of the universe. The FSM appears at about 1:30.

While it could have been made more clear they support our views – one could miss the FSM if not paying attention – I’m pleased that such a respected organization as the BBC finds it appropriate to include us. Thank you to everyone involved.

Ancient Pastafarian Relic Unearthed

Published October 8th, 2015 by Bobby Henderson

I was recently touring the ancient Illyrian city of Apollonia in present day Albania when I came across a tablet that depicts his noodliness. If you look closely you will see at the bottom of the tablet his holiness the FSM is getting drunk via Illyrian wine jugs.

Regards,

Jordan

Fantastic. The evidence mounts.

Sighting off the Angolan coast

Published August 9th, 2015 by Bobby Henderson

Reputable science magazine New Scientist reports that the FSM has been spotted off the Angolan coast (an area notorious for Piracy).

I’m happy about the sighting and encouraged that serious science journalism is talking about the FSM so freely.

You can read more about the sighting and watch the video of the FSM at New Scientist here.

Where is the evidence?

Published April 7th, 2013 by Bobby Henderson

Here’s a video that has been making the rounds.   Richard Dawkins shows great patience in interviewing Creationist Wendy Wright.  I find it painful to watch but also fascinating.

He has Risen

My friend Gooeld spotted this egg with an uncanny likeness to the FSM.

Because it is Easter, I want to share a link to a debate on “Did Jesus Really Rise From The Dead?” between Michael Horner and Dan Barker.   Horner is Christian scholar and Barker is a reformed Christian preacher and now an atheist activist.  It is an engaging debate and I suspect no matter your beliefs you’ll find reading this time well spent.

FSM Begins Rapture In The Northeast

Published October 26th, 2012 by Bobby Henderson

rapture

Too bad I live in Vancouver, I was hoping to be one of the first to feel the pull of the Holy Tentacles.

Even in name, a contradiction,

Christian

Strong evidence of the FSM’s presence for sure, but I think it’s hasty to refer to this as Rapture. Perhaps He is there for protection?  Have any Easterners felt the Touch of His Noodly Appendage?

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American.
