Microscopic Effigy

I stumbled upon this microscopic effigy of the FSM.  His Noodly Appendages are made of gold nanowires, 100 nm in diameter, and His Meatballs are silicon nanoparticles, ~1500 nanometers in diameter, coated with gold.

Nano Spaghetti and Meatballs Colorized and overlaid scanning electron microscope images of Spaghetti and Meatballs made out of Au and Si. The ‘spaghetti’ is a collection of electrodeposited Au nanowires, 100 nm in diameter, that have released from the substrate and bundled together (Thomas Cornelius – GSI Darmstadt). The ‘meatballs’ are Si nanoparticles, ~1.5 um in diameter, with Au nanocrystals on the surface that were grown on carbon-coated substrates using ultra-high vacuum molecular beam epitaxy (Gunther Richter – MPI Stuttgart). God particle found

Physicists at CERN say they’ve found the Higgs Boson.  Not surprising – illustrations of the “God Particle” closely resemble the FSM.

Below are two good articles about the discovery.  Scientists seem to keeping a lid on the FSM connection, for now. Smart.

Earth’s Magnetosphere Clearly Shows the Work of the FSM

More incontrovertible evidence of the FSM at work:  Space physicists find interactions between Earth and sun look a lot like Him.

A new computer simulation is showing Earth’s magnetosphere in amazing detail – and it looks a lot like a huge pile of tangled spaghetti (with the Earth as a meatball). Or perhaps a cosmic version of modern art.

The magnetosphere is formed by the Sun’s magnetic field interacting with Earth’s own magnetic field. When charged particles from a solar storm, also known as a coronal mass ejection (CME), impact our magnetic field, the results can be spectacular, from powerful electrical currents in the atmosphere to beautiful aurorae at high altitudes. Space physicists are using the new simulations to better understand the nature of our magnetosphere and what happens when it becomes extremely tangled.
