 
Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories has just published step-by-step instructions for making your own Flying Spaghetti Monster crown. This is probably due to Halloween coming up, but I don’t see why you couldn’t wear one of these any time of the year. Link
As a legitimate, recognized, official religion, the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is prohibited from publicly endorsing political candidates. I’m not sure why that is, but I assume it has something to do with the tax-breaks we’re entitled to as a religious entity – which apparently we’re not fully taking advantage of because I still don’t have a pirate ship. At any rate, I am sure there are severe consequences for mixing politics with religion (consider the lengths Christian churches go to distance themselves from Republican politicians, and vice versa), so don’t consider this an official endorsement, but rather a non-political announcement of FSM-related news.
Jane Kim is running for the San Francisco School Board. She believes in fighting global warming and setting higher standards in education by enriching biology classes. More importantly, though, I strongly suspect she is a Pastafarian, because this one-of-a-kind FSM plush will be auctioned off at her upcoming campaign fundraiser.

Salon.com has an interesting interview with Richard Dawkins titled The Flying Spaghetti Monster.
In the roiling debate between science and religion, it would be hard to exaggerate the enormous influence of Richard Dawkins. The British scientist is religion’s chief prosecutor — “Darwin’s rottweiler,” as one magazine called him — and quite likely the world’s most famous atheist. Speaking to the American Humanist Association, Dawkins once said, “I think a case can be made that faith is one of the world’s great evils, comparable to the smallpox virus but harder to eradicate.”
We went to the Quills last night, held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Unfortunately, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster did not win. Tyler Perry’s Don’t Make a Black Woman Take Off Her Earrings won the Humor category, as well as Book of the Year. It was still a fun night though, and very surreal. Our table was between Donald Trump’s and Suzanne Somers’ tables. The ceremony took place in the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life, under a full-size Blue Whale suspended from the ceiling. I’ll try to put up some pictures soon.
