UC Davis Pastafarians

On Sept 19th, a good portion of UC Davis was introduced to the Pastafarian faith. These are the photos of the event.

Thanks very much to Ray and Mario for Spreading the Word.  Ray’s description follows:

100_0717.jpg At the ready, with Gospel in hand.

100_0718.jpg Looking for potential pastafarians.

100_0719.jpg Still looking …

100_0720.jpg Our poster board.

100_0721.jpg Walking away from a failed conversation.

100_0722.jpg Catching up with this guy.

100_0723.jpg This guy was just touched by His noodly appendage.

100_0724.jpg This dude wanted nothing to do with me, but his girlfriend made him stay.

100_0725.jpg Looking over there…

100_0726.jpg These guys were just as confused about our faith, as they were about my attire.

100_0727.jpg Looking for another convert.

FSM Pumpkin Contest 2006

I’ve decided to have an FSM pumpkin carving contest for Halloween this year. The winner will receive $500 – and possibly more if I can get some donations, or if the contest causes merchandise sales to rise.

pcube1.jpg

Anyone can enter, as many times as you like, and the contest will run until Nov 20th. (Last year I received FSM pumpkin pictures well into November).

To enter the contest, you can use this form or email me.

The winner will be chosen by the viewing public. Voting is already enabled, so you’ll want to enter as soon as possible. There are almost no limitations. Vote as many times as you like, but only one vote per IP Address will be recorded. But, you’re more than welcome to get everyone you know to vote for your entry.

That’s it. All voting, etc, will take place here, at the FSM Pumpkin Contest 2006 page.

Talk like a pirate day

September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

This is important for a number of reasons, but for Pastafarians it provides a convenient source of pirate-behavior data to substantiate the Pirates Vs. Temperature correlation which serves as a keystone of our religion. We expect to see a considerable drop in temperature worldwide on Tuesday the 19th, due to the widespread pirate activity taking place.

I will be collecting quantitative temperature data via the interwebs, but if you have anecdotal (or specious) evidence of unseasonably cold weather, please describe it for us as a comment to this post.

Also, if you’ve done anything amazingly piratey today, please leave a comment about it. We all need to do our part to reverse Global Warming.

You can expect a thorough report of my findings on Wednesday or Thursday.
